As 2008 is coming to a
close, and the start of a 'New Year',
just around the corner, (7 and a half hours,in fact),
let us look ahead to 2009
by reading God's Holy Word of
"New"
as our Lord intended.
"1.
I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.
2. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
3. He put a
NEW
song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord."
Psalms 40:1-3
"1.
Sing to the Lord a
NEW song,
for he has done marvelous things;"
Psalms 98:1a
"34.
A
NEW
command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
35. By this all men will know that you are my disciples,
if you love one another."
John 13:34-35
"2.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the reNEWing
of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -
his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Romans 12:2
"17.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a
NEW
creation;
the old has gone, the
NEW has come!"

Corinthians 5:17
"1.
Then I saw a
NEW heaven and a
NEW
earth,
for the first heaven and the first earth had passed,
and there was no longer any sea.
2. I saw the Holy City, the
NEW
Jerusalem,
coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
Revelation 21:1-2

He who was seated on the throne said
"I am making everything
NEW!"
Then he said, "Write this down,
for these words are trustworthy and true."
6. He said to me:
"It is done.
I am the Alpha and the Omega,
The Beginning and the End.
To him who is thirsty I will give to drink

7. He who overcomes will inherit all this,
and I will be his God and he will be my son."

A Special "Thank you"!

the Lord bless all those who had a part in any way,
making the day successful
in touching so many families in our community.
The Love of the Lord was shown through your caring.
636 kids
registered, 750 kids came.
Over a thousand people getting touched by God.
Over $30,000. worth of toys were given to the children!
Thank you Lord Jesus!
God's
Blessed Miracle!
For those
of you who hadn't heard,
little baby Adriana was born 5 weeks early due to
severe complications with Mom, Samantha,
and stress being put on the baby.
Adriana was delivered by c-section weighing only 4 pounds
and with a bad blood infection-MRSA.
She couldn't even breath on her own.
She immediately had to have a blood transfusion.
Mom, too, was sick with a high fever and high blood pressure.
An urgent
prayer request went out to all to please pray
for this beautiful baby and mother.
Here we
are, not even a week later,
and Mom is doing fine and little Adriana is breathing on her
own!
And what about the blood infection you ask?
What blood infection? The doctors said for whatever
reason,
it was no longer there!
The
doctors may not know, but we do.
Jesus with all His love and mercy and faithfulness,
blessed this family with a miracle!
There is
nothing in this world more powerful than the power of prayer!
"So don't
worry, because I am with you.
Don't be afraid, because I am your God.
I will make you strong and will help you;
I will support you with my right hand that saves you."
Isaiah
41:10

Dear
Brothers and Sisters,
We would like to take a moment and wish everyone a Merry
Christmas.
We would also like to thank everyone for your prayers and
support
over the last 2 and 1/2 years and most recently
for your help with our Thanksgiving Day meal.
This is a
quick note to let everyone
know that we will be OPEN
for one more night on NEW YEARS EVE.
Our doors will open at 6:30 pm., for a pot luck dinner,
and we will go until 1am.
Bring whatever you like to eat and share with others.
We will bring in the New Year with a praise and worship band and
fellowship.
All of us at Common Ground would like to see you,
to show our appreciation, and to say our good-byes.
God has done great things through this ministry. We will see
you soon.

Our Father’s
Table Mission Statement
For
charitable purposes on a volunteer basis, without monetary
compensation
to help bring relief for the poor, distressed, underprivileged
and elderly by providing nourishing meals.
To follow
as closely as possible, Matthew 25:35 ~
“For
I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me drink;
I was a stranger and you made me welcome.”
Acts of
charity and benevolence are to be carried out
in a manner allowing all who enter our doors to be treated with
dignity
and respect and to partake without question, or criteria for
eligibility.
To rely on
the community generosity and remain independent
from government funding.
